1st Retinal Screen provides a complete managed service. The scope of the service is very comprehensive and
we undertake all aspects of the delivery required to meet the NSC standards and the implementation deadlines of the Diabetes NSF.
Extensive Information Requirements
The information requirements of the Retinal Screening Programme are significant and data needs to flow from many organisations,
in order to deliver a safe and efficient service. The data set required to deliver and monitor the delivery of the programme
has been constructed and the coding and classification issues associated with data sharing across primary, secondary and
social services have been documented and implemented by our CDRIntell solutions.
Budgetary Requirements
The budgetary requirements of our full-managed service have been carefully reviewed and there are many cost elements that have not been included within the various costing models available from the NSC. It is therefore likely that locally provided retinal screening services may run into difficulty where the additional costs have not been taken into account. Budgetary certainty is a key feature of our service.
Solutions and Pricing
- For a full scope retinal screening service, the price will be dependent on the terms of the contract, the number of patients to be covered, and the contracting arrangements.
- 1st Retinal Screen can also provide Information Services where the PCT wishes to take the lead in establishing a local service 1st Retinal Screen can assist through the provision of its information services, to build a diabetes register and maintain the register. Our web-based cross sector solution, can then support the full invitation cycle and performance monitoring of the screening programme. Our service includes the use of PASA approved software obtained from one of the PASA approved suppliers. This solution offers value added benefits to the PCT and General Practice. Our information service is broader than just Diabetic Retinopathy and therefore an investment in CDRIntell is an investment in Chronic Disease Management - the full Diabetes NSF is supported by the service. To fully appreciate the benefits of this solution please contact us - we will be delighted to organise a demonstration.
