Quality Control
Quality Control of the Screening Programme is a key element of the service. In terms of the Grading Process there are several controls established. Firstly all those involved in the programme require training and accreditation and minimum number of patients screened apply. In our model, Secondary and Arbitration Graders are Ophthalmologists. Our service follows the NSC recommendations by ensuring all Non-Negative results are passed through to Secondary Grading and that a 10% sample of the Negative results are also reviewed by Secondary Graders.

Our software provides a further Quality Control process to check the quality and consistency of the Secondary Graders work. A set of known valued images are sent to the Secondary Grader and their results are then compared and reviewed against the known images.

Our Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiatives ensure that all personnel engaged in the screening programme have access to support and time to develop in their roles.
