Referral Management
In the event that the patient requires referral for further care, a referral request will be generated; this ideally will be an automated process. If the referral is urgent the request will be sent directly to the ophthalmology department. The patient's Practice is informed of all referrals made on their behalf by the programme. 1st Retinal Screen also provide a fail safe system so that all those referred, do receive treatment.
